DividendGrowthCalculator.com ("we", "us") is run by Cedrick Reese as part of the Ready Utilities network of sites, at https://dividendgrowthcalculator.com. This page explains what data the site handles when you use it, how it's used, and what rights you have. The site has no user accounts and no sign-up.
Information we collect
- Calculator inputs: everything you type into the six calculators is processed entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to this site or to anyone else, and the site does not save it.
- Contact form: if you use the contact form, you send your name, your email address, a message and, if you pick one, a topic. The form also sends the name of this site, plus a hidden spam-check field that real visitors leave empty. It all goes to a form handler at readyutilities.com, the Ready Utilities site network this site belongs to, and reaches the site owner so he can reply.
- Light and dark preference: if you use the theme toggle, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the name "theme", with the value "light" or "dark". It stays on your device and is used only to show the site in the theme you picked. If you never use the toggle, nothing is saved.
- Consent choice: the consent banner (see Third-party services below) stores the choice you make in your browser so it doesn't ask again on every page.
- Server logs: like most websites, the site is served from a web host that keeps standard server logs. These record things like your IP address, the pages requested, the date and time, and your browser type. The hosting company keeps and manages these logs.
How we use information
Contact form messages are used only to read your message and reply to you, including fixing an error you report. We do not add your email address to a mailing list. The theme preference and the consent choice are used only to remember what you picked. Calculator inputs are never received, so they are not used for anything.
Third-party services
- Consently (consent banner): every page loads a script from app.consently.net. Consently is a cookie-consent service. Its script shows the consent banner and remembers your choice. Loading it means your browser connects to Consently's servers, which receive standard request details such as your IP address. To change or withdraw your choice, clear this site's cookies and site data in your browser settings; the banner will then ask you again.
- Hosting provider: the company that hosts this site and the contact form handler serves your requests and keeps the server logs described above.
- Links to other sites: the guides link to sources such as IRS.gov and other publishers. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy practices apply.
Ads and affiliate links
This site does not currently show ads, has no affiliate links, and does not run any analytics or advertising tracking. If an ad network or affiliate tracking is added, this policy will be updated to describe it before it goes live.
GDPR (EU/EEA users)
If you're located in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw your consent at any time. The only personal data we hold is what you send through the contact form. To make a request, use the contact form and say what you'd like done.
CCPA (California users)
California residents have the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal data.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent a message through the contact form, let us know and we will delete it.
